3D Digitization of an Edible Crab ( cancer pagarus ) claw
3D digitizing the Edible crab claw presented a fun and interesting challenge for photogrammetry due to its shiny surface and intricate textures.
To tackle these challenges, we used a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex camera) with a macro lens for capturing the fine details of the claw’s surface, a tripod, a softbox, and a motorized turntable connected with the DSLR.
The model obtained was then cleaned and decimated for documenting and visualizing purposes.
