The Catholme Neolithic Complex is a significant archaeological site located in Staffordshire, England, near the confluence of the Rivers Trent, Tame, and Mease. It’s a “ceremonial complex” that was discovered through aerial photography in the 1960s and 1970s, as its features are no longer visible on the ground.

Woodhenge” Monument: The complex is most notable for a large timber circle monument, often referred to as a “Woodhenge.” It consists of five concentric rings of post holes, which would have held over 200 massive oak posts. This structure is similar in design to the famous Woodhenge in Wiltshire, but is even larger, making it the second-largest known of its kind in Britain.
