Virtual Reconstruction 2

Virtualization of the Eyam Saxon Cross, Church Street, Eyam, Derbyshire

It dates from the early 9th century. It has a square stone base with a tapering shaft, topped by a Celtic cross. The shaft is decorated with foliage, scrolls, scenes showing the Virgin and Christ, angels and an angel with a trumpet. A small section of the shaft is missing, otherwise this cross is unusually complete.

This project was one of our first projects we have been involved into and it was very satisfying to see the final result.
